Puppy Register
Over the years it has proved invaluable to have one local contact point for potential purchasers to contact in order to find out who in the Southern area has Cavaliers available to move to a new home.
Breeders who have puppies or older dogs available give details to our local Puppy Register co-ordinator and a small fee which goes automatically to the Welfare Organisation. The Southern Cavalier Club puppy register is held by:

If you are thinking about getting a Cavalier puppy or an older one, here are some pointers:
Be prepared to be asked loads of questions - most breeders really want to know their puppies are going to the right safe home!
Go and see at least a couple of breeders and make sure the Cavalier is right for you.
You should normally expect to meet the puppy's mother and see other members of the family. You should ask about heart and eye tests - it is not the end of the world if the puppy has minor problems but they should all be understood.
You should be provided with a puppy diet sheet, i.e. information on what food the puppy has been on, vaccination details and worming programme.
Buy direct from a breeder and help stamp out puppy farming.
General breed enquiries can also be directed to Mrs Stark.
